Song of the Week

Coldplay
“Warning Sign”

A Rush of Blood to the Head, 2002

____________________________________

A warning sign,
I missed the good part then I realized,
I started looking and the bubble burst.
I started looking for excuses.

Come on in,
I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in,
I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones,
That I started looking for a warning sign.

When the truth is,
I miss you.
Yeah the truth is,
That I miss you so.

A warning sign,
You came back to haunt me and I realized,
That you were an island and I passed you by,
You were an island to discover.

Come on in,
I've gotta tell you what state I'm in,
I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones,
That I started looking for a warning sign.

When the truth is,
I miss you.
Yeah the truth is,
That I miss you so.

And I'm tired,
I should not have let you go.

So I crawl back into your open arms.
Yes, I crawl back into your open arms.
And I crawl back into your open arms.
Yes, I crawl back into your open arms...

In any kind of way...

I know it's been almost two weeks since I last posted... and I've got stories to tell about Andrea's visit to AZ and other random updates. But this is about all I could crank out. I am absolutely miserable and don't have the energy to even perform menial tasks. So the fact that I am even blogging at the moment may have something to do with the sugar high I'm getting from this snack pack pudding I'm eating to take my medicine with.

I've got strep throat and I'm waiting to hear back about my other labs... it really does feel like my whole world has been turned on its head the past few days. I can only recall a few times throughout my life feeling this miserable. And on top of that, sad and helpless. I'm supposed to be going to San Fransisco with Dan on Friday, so here's to hoping I will make it to the "Seaside" this weekend, maybe even with a smile.

Song of the Week

"Seaside"
-The Kooks-

Do you want to go to the seaside?
I'm not trying to say that everybody wants to go.
I fell in love at the seaside,
I handled my charm with time and slight of hand.

Do you want to go to the seaside?
I'm not trying to say that everybody wants to go.
I fell in love at the seaside,
She handled her charm with time and slight of hand, and oh-

But I'm just trying to love you

In any kind of way.
But I find it hard to love you girl
When you're far away,
Away.

Do you want to go to the seaside?
I'm not trying to say that everybody wants to go.
But I fell in love on the seaside
On the seaside,
In the seaside.
